I am an Ontario artisan who has had my hands making objets d’art for fifty years. From majoring in textiles at art school to learning crafts ranging fromstained glass to jewellery making and now finding myself loving the ancient art of encaustic painting, I have always loved being creative.
For the last ten years I have been devoted to teaching myself the art of encaustic painting and am always finding new ways to paint with beeswax, damarresin, oil paints and oil pastels. Being able to co-ordinate the love I have for photographing the beautiful world we live in with the medium encaustic, I have been able to bring two passions together, travel and art. What could be better?
