Mary-Jo is a self taught artist who tries to capture and interpret how she sees nature by creating one of a kind wire sculptures. Each one is made by twisting several pieces of wire together, no soldering required. The rock that serves as foundation for each sculpture is usually as unique as the sculpture itself. From pieces of petrified wood to semi-precious and precious stone to the wide variety of granite. With the occasional addition of a fence, or a bench it can transport you to a place of solitude in an otherwise hectic-paced society. It is the beauty and serenity of nature that people enjoy and that Mary-Jo tries to capture.
Mary-Jo has sold her work across Canada and at the AGO during the Ansel Adams and the Mystical Landscapes Exhibits. She lives in Stratford, Ontario with her husband.
