Try your hand at the potter’s wheel in this one- time workshop!
A great opportunity to see if this is your next hobby! or simply cross off your bucket list!
You will be guided through making 2 cups or bowls. You will get the full experience of centering the clay, building the foundation of your pot to then stretch the sides and see how high you can get it!
The workshop is approximately 2 hours. Your pots will be finished and fired for you, in the colour of your choice. Ready to be picked up within 4-6 weeks.
They will be food safe, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.

2-day Intermediate Teapot Workshop
$275 +tax

You asked for it! We are bringing the talented Brendan Wilson back into the studio for a 2-day teapot workshop. Throughout these 2 days participants will explore teapot engineering and function. Join us!
Details of the workshop include:
– Throwing various teapot pieces
– How to trim and assemble
– Pulling and attaching handles
– Discussion on ergonomics and the perfect spout and handle
Please note: This is an intermediate workshop, and previous throwing experience is needed. Firing is available at an additional cost.
Scratching the Surface: 2-day Surface Decorating Workshop

2-hour Handbuilt Ceramic Bird Feeder Workshop
$75 +tax

Spring is just around the corner! Add a one of a kind bird feeder to your backyard or patio and enjoy the beautiful birds that come to feast!
This workshop is approximately 2 hours in length. Using slabs of clay, templates, textures and colours participants will build their own bird feeder.
This is a beginner friendly workshop, with no previous experience needed. You will be guided through each step of the making process. So just bring yourself (or a buddy!) and enjoy the creative process.
Your piece will be fired for you, in the colour of your choice. It will be ready for pickup within 4-6 weeks of the workshop date.
Please note: The glaze shown in the workshop image is no longer available in the studio. Participants will have many other beautiful colours to choose from.

Creative Day Out in St. Marys

Registrants will participate in 2 amazing workshops at 2 local businesses, with a break for lunch. This creative day also includes a $20 lunch voucher redeemable at one of the following local eateries: Tuttco, Gillly’s Pubhouse, The Flour Mill & Town and Country Cheese Shoppe.
Workshop details:
1) At Zenfire Pottery: Handbuild your very own ceramic berry bowl with a dish, just in time for berry season!
2) At Stone Home Creatives: Create your own sand candle. Creators will start with white wax and a photo, first dying the wax then magically layering it into a jar to create a picture.
The workshops are beginner friendly. There is no previous experience needed, and all your materials will be provided. Let’s celebrate the warmer months ahead, and create beautiful things together.

2-day Beginner Wheel Intensive

Join us for a weekend of throwing on the potter’s wheel!
This workshop is perfect for beginners just starting their pottery journey, or for those who have taken 1+ beginner classes and want more time on the potter’s wheel.
Students will keep 6-8 of their favourite pieces.
This will be a jam-packed weekend with participants learning in a relaxed and supportive environment. Workshop highlights include:
- How to prepare your clay
- Step-by-step instruction on how to centre & “throw” on the potter’s wheel
- How to trim your pieces to create light and well-balanced work
- How to add texture and visual interest to your pieces while trimming
- Adding handles & attaching pieces together to create mugs, vases, etc.
- Various decorating techniques using textures, carving tools, slips & underglazes
Kids Summer Pottery Workshop

Explore clay, creativity and self expression with this full day summer pottery workshop. Throughout the day your child will have the opportunity to try the potter’s wheel and alter their thrown pieces to create creatures, characters, animals…or whatever amazing idea they may have. They will also experiment creating work using clay slabs, coils & making pinch pots. Finishing touches will be added using our “paints” to add colour and their one of a kind details. We can’t wait to see what your child creates in a supportive and encouraging space.
Hello Summer! Teen Clay Workshop

(We also offer a teen workshop, if this better suits the age of your child)
Fill your teen’s summer break with creativity and exploration. We have 2 full days available this July and August, and we cannot wait to see what your teen makes in the studio.
Participants will have full access to the studio with step-by-step instruction. They will have a chance to use the potter’s wheel, handbuilding with clay slabs and coils, and . Everyone will also have plenty of time to decorate their pieces using slips, underglazes and our food safe glazes.
There will be plenty of inspiration provided, but participants are encouraged to bring in ideas. Our instructor will work with each teen to accomplish their clay goals.
