Workshop Description:
Try your hand at the potter’s wheel in this one- time workshop!
These workshops are a great opportunity to see if this is your next hobby, or simply cross off your bucket list! You will be guided through making 2 cups or bowls. You will get the full experience of centering the clay, building the foundation of your pot to then stretch the sides and see how high you can get it!
The workshop is approximately 2 hours. Your pots will be finished and fired for you, in the colour of your choice, ready to be picked up within 4-6 weeks. They will be food safe, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.

Description:
Join us for a full day of creativity with Clay. Our amazing instructor will guide each participant through various clay projects using the potter’s wheel, handbuilding with slabs of clay and sculpting clay into anything that their imagination allows.
There will be plenty of inspiration, guidance and one-on-one time with the instructor throughout the day. We also encourage our participants to come with ideas. If they have a wish to create something we will do our best to make their dreams come true!
Please note there will be a supervised lunch break. We ask that each participant is sent with a lunch, water bottle and snacks to keep their energy up throughout their creative day. We are going to have so much fun!
Finished work will be ready for pickup within 4-6 weeks of the workshop date.

The fee is intended to cover costs such as scheduling adjustments, pre-service preparations, and other administrative expenses.

The Imaginative World of Flora and Fauna: A Sculptural Wall Art Workshop with Dauma Stirbyte
$225 +tax

Description:
Join us for a full day floral and fauna sculptural workshop! The day will start with a demo, and students will learn how to make a wall-hanging flower piece using various handbuilding techniques. They will have the opportunity to use coloured slips, underglaze and various tools to add texture. The studio also offers the option of adding high fire wire details to further add dimension, whimsey, and imagination.
No previous experience is required. Beginners are welcome and encouraged!
There will be a short break for lunch. Lunch is not provided, but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We also have a fridge, microwave, and kettle available for use.

Monoprinting on Pots with Visiting Artist Christine Torres
$225 +tax

All materials and tools provided. Leatherhard cylinders and firings are offered at an additional cost.

Description:
Unlock a new decorating skill by adding depth, movement, colour, and whimsy to your pots.
Visiting artist Christine Torres will be sharing her monoprinting techniques in this hands-on, beginner friendly workshop. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged.
Monoprinting on clay combines the spontaneity of printmaking with the tactile nature of ceramics.
Participants will use underglazes and slips to create colourful, layered images on newsprint. These images will then be transferred onto leather hard tiles. We encourage students to bring straight, smooth, leatherhard cylinders to practice on. Alternatively, cylinders can be purchased at an additional charge of $10+tax / piece.
Firing is also available at an additional charge.
All materials will be provided however, students are encouraged to bring ideas/illustrative images with them.

Glazed & Confused with Visiting Artist Chris Snedden
$225 +tax
Join us for this hands-on workshop to answer all of these questions. Visiting artist Chris Snedden will be lending his many years of clay and glaze experience to teach participants how to develop a variety of glaze colours with just 1 base glaze. Chris will also troubleshoot how to glaze those tricky pottery pieces for a perfectly glazed finish.
