Creators will come back at a later date to glaze, or Angela can do it for you. Shipping of finished pieces is available for those who live out of town.

Clay & Art Camp

$495 +tax (8 person limit)

Cost includes: instruction, lunch supervision, all art materials, firings of clay projects, and 1 sketchbook per participant
Date: August 18 – 22
Time: 9:30am – 3:30pm (each day)
Ages: 9-13
Instructor: Beth Turnbull
In this week-long course at Zenfire Pottery participants will have the opportunity to explore wheel throwing and hand building pottery techniques. We will make cups, bowls, plates, and other pottery items. Campers will add “paints” to decorate their pieces, and finished clay projects will be glazed and fired at a later date*.

Our days will be balanced between pottery making and projects in other media. There will be a focus on non-traditional and recycled materials. A sketchbook will be provided and we will also practice sketchbook use and art journaling.

The day will consist of three working/creating blocks, with two nutrition breaks. Please bring a lunch and snacks, (nut free) as well as a refillable water bottle. Use of electronic devices is not permitted, even during break times.

This is a great week for youth who love art and want to try making new things. We are excited to see the participants’ creativity grow and thrive in our friendly and supportive environment.

Your teacher, Beth Turnbull, is a practicing professional potter and teacher with 20 years of experience teaching pottery and art to youth and adults.

*Please allow 4-6 weeks for your pieces to be fired and ready for pickup. Pottery pieces will be dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.
